My granny, Olive Mary McClelland was a welder in the yard during WW2. She was born on the 29/06/1923 and her maiden name was Lindsey. She met her husband in the war, when she helped at the WRVS up at Hawcoat Village Hall. They used to have village dance nights there for the soldiers.
